Pay Entry Fees

After creating your account and adding your entries to the system, you must pay your entry fee(s). Accepted payment methods are:

  • Check, made out to GTA Brews Homebrew Club
  • Credit/debit card and e-check, via PayPal


Entry Acceptance Rules

Cost is $3 CAD per entry. Our preferred payment method is PayPal, though e-Transfers and cheques can be accepted with special arrangements. Cash will not be accepted.

When registering entries, make sure to follow the entry instructions (if specified) that are specified in the 2015 BJCP Beer Guidelines (CiderMead). Failure to note key information may impact the judges’ scoring of your entry. However also keep in mind that too much information can also be detrimental.

Bottle Acceptance Guidelines
Each entry will consist of two 12 oz brown glass bottles. Bottles must be void of all identifying information, especially commercial/home-made labels. Any marked caps must be blacked out. A Bottle ID form must then be attached to each bottle by elastic band (NO tape please).

Bottle ID labels can be printed by clicking the print icon next to each of your entries on the “Account” -> “Entries” page. Recipe sheets and PayPal receipts are not required. Bottles will not be returned to contest entrants.

12 oz (~355 mL) brown bottles are strongly preferred; however we will also accept green/clear glass, sizes up to 22 oz, and corked bottles, if necessary.

Shipping Info

Entry bottles accepted at our shipping location from Monday 23 April, 2018 10:00 AM, EDT through Friday 4 May, 2018 5:00 PM, EDT.

Packing and Shipping

Carefully pack your entries in a sturdy box. Line the inside of your carton with a plastic trash bag. Partition and pack each bottle with adequate packaging material. Please do not over pack!

Write clearly: Fragile. This Side Up. on the package. Please only use bubble wrap as your packing material.

Enclose each of your bottle labels in a small zip-top bag before attaching to their respective bottles. This way it makes it possible for the organizer to identify specifically which entry has broken if there is damage during shipment.

Every reasonable effort will be made to contact entrants whose bottles have broken to make arrangements for sending replacement bottles.

If you live in the United States, please note that it is illegal to ship your entries via the United States Postal Service (USPS). Private shipping companies have the right to refuse your shipment if they are informed that the package contains glass and/or alcoholic beverages. Be aware that entries mailed internationally are often required by customs to have proper documentation. These entries might be opened and/or returned to the shipper by customs officials at their discretion. It is solely your responsibility to follow all applicable laws and regulations.

The awards will be announced once judging is completed.

Places will be awarded to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in each category/table.

The 1st place entry in each category will advance to the Best of Show (BOS) round with a single, overall Best of Show beer selected.

Scoresheets will available for download from the registration software promptly after the competition concludes.
